El Wrestlemania 23 se celebro el 1 de Abril en el estadio Ford Field (es un estadio de fútbol americano) de Detroit, al cual fueron 80103 personas (en España solo podría ir más gente en el Camp Nou del Barça), el Ford Field ya había acogido otros eventos importantes como la Super Bowl XL del año 2006.
Esta vez los combates que hubo en este Wrestlemania han sido:
- Money in the Bank ladder match: Que fue un combate en el que ganaba el primer que subiéndose a la escalera y cogiendo un maletín, que lo consiguió Mr. Kennedy derrotando a Edge, CM Punk, King Booker (con la Queen Sharmell), Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Finlay, Randy Orton; este combate duro 19:10 minutos. Se tuvieron que llevar a Edge en camilla.
- The Great Khali VS Kane, combate que quería que ganara Kane pero que no pudo ser ya que fue derrotado en 5:31 minutos.
- WWE United States Championship en el cual participaban Chris Benoit VS MVP, combate que gano Chris Benoit reteniendo el titulo de campeón en 9:19 minutos.
- World Heavyweight Championship, en el cual participaron The Undertaker VS Batista, combate que quería que ganara Undertaker, cosa que esta vez si que sucedió, siguiendo convirtiéndose en una leyenda ya que de 23 Wrestlemania que se han celebrado ha participado en 15 y ha ganado en los 15, es el nuevo campeón en un combate que duro 15:47 minutos.
- The ECW Originals (Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, The Sandman and Rob Van Dam) VS The New Breed (Elijah Burke, Marcus Cor Von, Matt Striker and Kevin Thorn) gano el equipo de ECW Originals en 6:26 minutos.
- Hair vs. Hair, el combate también conocido de los billonarios en los que se enfrentaban Umaga (contratado por Vince McMahon) VS Bobby Lashley (contratado por Donald Trump), en este combate tenían un arbitro invitado que era uno exluchador de la WWE que fue Stone Cold Steve Austin, este combate gano Bobby Lashley 14:00, cosa que como los billonarios se habían apostado el que perdiera, perdería su pelo, cosa que sucedió cuando raparon a Vince McMahon después de que intentara huir.
- WWE Women’s Championship, combate en que participaban Melina VS Ashley, combate que gano Melina no dejando ganar el titulo a la portada de Playboy del mes de Marzo. El combate duro 3:14 minutos.
- WWE Championship, este fue el ultimo combate, en el cual participaron John Cena VS Shawn Michaels, combate que gano John Cena después de hacer que Shawn Michaels se rindiera en 28:21 minutos, cosa que hizo que pudiera retener el titulo de campeón.
Aquí os dejo los highlights de la noche, en el cual suenan dos canciones la primera “The Memory Will Never Die” del grupo Default y la segunda canción es “Ladies and Gentlemen” del grupo Saliva, esta segunda canción era la canción principal del evento.
